Pay it forward Opportunities
Many of teens in our program understand what a gift Club Chameleon is to them and they will do anything in order to keep the program going. Not only do they understand it, they want to give back! These pay it forward opportunities give our teens a chance to earn these adventures. We know the program is truly working when these organizations witness our teen's willingness to help. We feel it is the compassion they learn in Club Chameleon and their ownership to the program that motivates them on these pay it forward opportunities. To date Club Chameleon teens have found many opportunities to "pay it forward" with community service projects.
"Play"ing with Preschoolers
Chameleon teens did a little mentoring on their own when they reached out to Rockingham County Head Start pre- schoolers by working together on a 3-act play based on Eric Carle books. The entire program was funded by a literacy grant that was attained by Head Start.

 Painting
for Club Chameleon
In an effort to do their part with the new storage facility, our teens recently painted an additional town facility building so that it would match their own new storage building. With a logo that big everyone knows it Club Chameleon! We love the colors Red, Blue, Green and Gold!

Improving the earth and landscape
chameleon teens put on their gardening gloves and spent a day at the elementary school helping with landscaping chores and other earthly tasks!

Also, Club Chameleon kids made a trip to The Hilton-Winn Farm Inn in Ogunquit Maine to help landscape her farm. The Hilton Winn Farm is and educational farm for children. There is tons to do there from planting and harvesting their gardens, to building trails, etc... !

Helping to run a Festival!
At the Newmarket Heritage Festival in late September Chameleon Kids worked straight through the weekend. They tackled trash detail, setting up and breaking down for various entertainment events. They had as much fun as they were exhausted! Just wait until next year!

Here comes another Festival!
Back by request to the The Hilton-Winn Farm Inn. The second trip the Chameleon kids help Nancy, who runs the farm, with her huge Fundraising event. Our kids assisted Nancy on helping out with hays rides, managing game activities, and helping food vendors. They had a harvest blast! |
