#15 goes to now one else but Hannah Schlieder

We are excited to say that Hannah Schlieder is the 15th Cool Chameleon! Hannah’s fun loving attitude really helped us to push through a wet weekend at the farm! Her presence was encouraging for everyone and she acted as a great mentor to our new, young, Chameleons showing them how to make the best out of any situation! Congratulations, Hannah. We can’t wait to have you on another trip!

Danielle, you've come a long way. Look, you're #14

Congratulations to Danielle Hounam for being nominated as Club Chameleon’s 14th Cool Chameleon! On the 52nd trip, Kayaking & Orienteering, Danielle really stepped up and helped out as a senior Chameleon! Her leadership and
hard work was greatly appreciated as she dedicated a lot of time to the pretrip planning, organizing, and shopping aspects of the trip. We couldn't have done it without her!

#13 is really lucky for Lindsey

Congratulations Lindsey Palmer for being nominated as Club Chameleon's 13th Cool Chameleon! On the 51st trip to Gunstock, Linsey really shined as a maternal figure for the younger Chameleons. Her kind hearted nature and
determined work ethic make her a great addition to the Club. Linsey is constantly pushing herself outside of her comfort zone and we are excited to have her on trips to come!

Kyle reaches for the top at #12

Kyle Monastiero has been nominated as the 12th Cool Chameleon! Kyle really stepped up on the 50th trip helping to set up all the tents, acting as a leader on the river, and keeping everyone entertained with his quick wit and
playfulness. We couldn't have done this trip without him. Thanks for all the hard work, Kyle! Congratulations!

#11 Cool Chameleon goes to Danny!

Danny McGloughlin is Trip 49’s Cool Chameleon! A natural leader, dedicated club member, and a consistently hard worker, Danny has always stepped up to the plate. His joyful personality radiates to those around him and he is
always able to find the positive in any situation that may occur! We couldn't’t have done this last trip without him. Congratulations, Danny!

Haylea is our BIG #10 Cool Chameleon

Haylea Verrastro is a 12 year old Chameleon...and a proactive one at that!  Haylea has initiated her own fundraiser for the club sewing personalized, embroidered pillows and has helped out with nearly all of the other
fundraisers and community service events. Her joyful personality makes her a pleasure to have on trips, and she always stands out as a leader. Haylea’s hard work sure has paid off as she is named this trip’s Cool Chameleon !

Cool Chameleon #9 is Jenna Jarvis

15 year old Jenna Jarvis is quite the Cool Chameleon! Her cool, calm, & collected character makes her a pleasure to have on the trips and at the Recreation Center. Jenna is always a team player and her natural leadership abilities shine through as she continues to fundraise for Camp
Cody and organize the Club Chameleon Talent Show. Keep up the good work, Jenna!

Our eighth Cool Chameleon is Alex Page! 

Alex has truly come far in the last couple of months in the advanced skills program.  With hard work and courage, she has conquered her fears of kayaking wet exits as well as public speaking.  This Cool Chameleon is always willing to try new things!  Alex has also been learning orienteering skills while at the same time working on her leadership qualities. On top of it all, Alex is always there lending a hand to clean up after Teen Talk! congratulations Alex, you are a great example of what a Cool Chameleon is made of!


Announcing lucky # 7 Chameleon ... a well deserving Alexx Schlieder!

Alex is a 14 year old who has been a wonderful spokesperson and leader for Club Chameleon. She can always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Alexx is very involved in her community, whether it is getting in the brush at the Hilton-Winn Farm or helping on the Chameleon Trips. No task is too big or too small for Alexx.


Drum roll.... Scotty Goergen is our 6th Chameleon! 

Scotty is a sixteen year old who is always helping out Club Chameleon and the Recreation Department. Whether he is running the Game Room, helping in the Preschool Playgroup, or taking care of Rosie, Scotty can always be counted on. He always helps on a trip and never complains about the tasks given to him. Thanks Scotty!

 

 

And now…Our Fifth Chameleon!

Dee Glassford is a 15 year old who is the perfect spokeswoman for our club.  Whether she is speaking at an event or just talking to her peers, Dee truly understands the Chameleon philosophy and is committed to the program.  Her leadership skills continue to grow and younger members look to her for guidance.  Congratulations Dee!

 

Finally our fourth Cool Chameleon!

Emma Bouras is a 13 year old who you never see without a smile! She is constantly upbeat, whether we are sliding down a hill on a snow tube in the cold or helping out the community. She keeps a positive attitude no matter what is thrown her way. The endless help she offers to any other chameleon members in need shows how perfect this recognition fits with this Cool Chameleon.

Mary Helen Willant is our third Cool Chameleon

Mary Helen is a 15 year old who has been with the Chameleon program for the past two years.  With her infectious smile and her comedic talents, she has a way of making everyone laugh!  Whenever one of the kids is having a tough time, she is always there with a kind word or a hug of encouragement.  You never see Mary unhappy, and everyone that gets to know her becomes very attached.  Congratulations Mary!

Our second Cool Chameleon is PJ Marquis!

This Cool 13 year old Chameleon is no tranger to hard work. At the Newmarket Heritage Festival a few weekends ago PJ was the Energizer Bunny. As Chameleon’s go to guy from sun up to sun down that weekend he pushed himself to the limit by not only controlling trash detail, but also keeping the group hydrated. Good looking out PJ! Despite having not participated in a trip thus far, PJ truly displays the Chameleon attitude that makes us all great community leaders. Thanks PJ!

Our first Cool Chameleon for our website is Lacy Rose Dickinson!

Lacy is an 11-year-old young lady who is a loyal Chameleon member. She always gets involved with everything the Club does, from community service to enjoying the trips! We can always count on Lacy to help when we go away, from doing chores to being supportive with the other kids. Lacy always goes out of her way to make another member smile or assist them in other ways. Congratulations Lacy, you are our first "Cool Chameleon!"
