Newmarket RecreationWe want to REC our Teens Day… Few communities of our size can offer the recreational diversity found in Newmarket. Whether for relaxation, competition or health reasons, all ages can find a recreational outlet throughout the year. The municipality of the Town of Newmarket runs the Newmarket Recreation Department. Although the Club Chameleon is a non-profit program run under the Newmarket Recreation umbrella, it is solely responsible for it’s own funding and it is completely run by a staff of volunteers. The Newmarket Recreation Department is thrilled with the positive feedback we have received from the town residents regarding the Club Chameleon program. It even took home the Willie Shellnut state award for “innovative programming” from the state of New Hampshire Recreation and Park’s Association in 2005. The recreation department has only received that honor 3 other times in its 36-year history. We invite our town resident’s to check out and see what other recreational opportunities their recreation department has to offer to their community, by stopping by the community center and picking up our latest 2006 Winter and Spring Recreational Brochure.
